Product Support Engineer
We currently seek a Product Support Engineer in our Grand Forks office to deliver technical support to our Digital Asset Management customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second level support to customers via phone and email including problem identification and resolution.
- Troubleshoot problems and find workable solutions for a large customer base, working with sales, engineering and marketing as appropriate to best address customer needs.
- Document problems and report design, reliability or maintenance issues to engineering and product management.
- Perform software/hardware installations/upgrades, code deployments, maintenance and networks.
- Apply strong technical and verbal communication skills to resolve customer/client issues.
- Administer multiple WebSphere environments and configurations
- Issue tracking and customer follow up to ensure appropriate case resolution activities have been executed through to closure of each reported issue.
- Implement, configure, and utilize system monitoring tools at multiple customer installations
- Progression in the role may lead to support ownership of multiple accounts.
- Occasional travel may be required.
What you should bring to the table:
- Minimum 3 years of customer support experience in software industry
- Programming ability required; knowledge of Java J2EE, JSP, Java frameworks. Unix shell scripting a plus. Must have an understanding of software design and architecture principles.
- Degree in MIS/Engineering/Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in installation, administration and/or troubleshooting of at least one of the following; Windows 200x Server, AIX, and Linux
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing multiple customers, projects, or resources.
- Must be highly motivated, organized, self-starter, results-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of database systems required; experience with DB2 a plus.
- Knowledge of System Monitoring and Performance tools a plus.
- Experience in administration and/or troubleshooting of databases, Apache, WebSphere, Tomcat, UNIX, Internet (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, E-mail, XML) a plus.

Windows Applications Developer
We currently seek a Windows Application Developer for development of video and audio processing applications. Minimum of 3 years experience required developing Windows application software using Microsoft Visual C#, as well as managed, un-managed, and mixed mode C++. Applicant must have a thorough understanding of .Net, Win32, MFC, and COM as well as modern Windows GUI conventions and techniques. Experience with Microsoft Developer Studio 2010, XML, XAML, .Net 3.x, ASP.Net, WCF, WPF, TFS, and SQL are a plus.
